Hand hammering—which causes the material to become harder—combined with a thicker shell, produces a drum quite different from standard 1mm thick shell drums. The copper shell PC455HN snare drum has a warm and slightly controlled sound, yet is still extremely loud. The aluminum PA455HN snare drum offers a clear, open bright sound with crisp overtones.
